At MPL Fabrications, we continue to invest heavily in advanced sheet metal fabrication machinery to support our customers and strengthen our in-house capabilities.
At the start of 2026, we were proud to introduce our Bodor I7 fibre laser cutting machine which is our fourth major machinery investment in just four years.
After nearly 12 months of planning, installation and preparation, the Bodor I7 is now fully operational at our Coventry facility. This investment represents a significant step forward for the business, our workforce, and the customers we support across the Midlands and the UK.

Why we invested in in-house laser cutting
Previously, certain laser-cut components were produced using trusted external partners. While effective, this approach introduced additional lead times, increased transport requirements and reduced control over scheduling.
By bringing laser cutting fully in-house, MPL Fabrications now benefits from:
