MPL Fabrications boasts a proud heritage dating back 40 years. Founded by Roy Hill, a former Director at a large Coventry engineering firm, the company began as a one-man operation in Shilton after his early retirement.

Driven by early success, MPL Fabrications moved to its current premises in 1996. Following Roy's passing in 2012, his business partner took the reins and transitioned the company into a limited liability company (Ltd) to facilitate continued growth.

Sadly, MPL faced another leadership change in 2020 with the unexpected passing of the new proprietor. However, the company's spirit of resilience shone through. Roy's son-in-law, Kevin Duffy, stepped up as Managing Director alongside his wife Pauline (Roy's daughter), who also serves as a Director.

Kevin, having recently retired early from Jaguar Land Rover, brings a wealth of experience to the table. He is committed to guiding MPL Fabrications through the next chapter, and this dedication is evident in the company's recent investments. Nearly £300,000 has been poured into upgrading machinery over the past three years, ensuring MPL stays competitive in the ever-evolving engineering landscape.

MPL Fabrications fosters a culture of loyalty and expertise. Many of its employees began their careers at the company as apprentices during Roy's initial expansion phase. The dedication is impressive – three employees boast over 30 years of service with MPL and the entire 16-strong team collectively represents more than 200 years of experience.

Recognising the importance of nurturing future generations, MPL Fabrications has actively invested in apprenticeships. Two apprentices hired in the last decade remain with the company, demonstrating the rewarding career paths available.

Quality and exceptional customer service have always been the cornerstones of MPL Fabrications' philosophy. These core values remain central to the company's ethos today. The long-standing relationships with many customers, some lasting over 20 years, are a testament to the quality and value MPL consistently delivers.
