Our Roadmap for 2026
Sustainability in sheet metal fabrication is no longer a “nice to have” - it’s a responsibility. At MPL Fabrications, we believe that high-quality engineering and environmental responsibility should go hand in hand. As we look toward 2026, our focus remains firmly on reducing our environmental impact while continuing to deliver the precision, reliability and service our customers expect.
Investing in smarter, greener operations
Over the past year, we’ve made targeted investments designed to improve efficiency and reduce waste across our operation to make sure sustainability in sheet metal fabrication remains at the forefront of our production.
These include:
- Energy-efficient machinery upgrades
- Improved workflow layout to reduce handling and rework
- Investment in machinery to reduce our logistic miles
- Installation of EV charging points for staff and visitors
- Energy-efficient heating systems throughout the factory
These changes help reduce energy consumption while improving productivity meaning a win for both the environment and our customers.
Bringing more processes in-house
By investing in new technology such as our most recent laser cutting equipment, we’ve been able to bring more fabrication processes under one roof. This reduces transportation between suppliers, shortens lead times, and lowers overall carbon output.
It also means better quality control, faster turnaround, and a smoother experience for customers, all while reducing our environmental footprint.
Supporting a sustainable supply chain
We understand that many of our customers are under increasing pressure to demonstrate sustainability within their own supply chains. By working with MPL, as our customer, you benefit from:
- Local manufacturing
- Reduced logistics miles
- Efficient batch production
- Responsible waste management
- Environmentally conscious investment decisions
It’s part of our commitment to being a dependable, forward-thinking fabrication partner.
Community & environmental responsibility
Beyond the factory floor, we continue to invest in initiatives that benefit the wider community including tree planting programmes and supporting local teams and charities.

Meet our community sponsors.
These efforts reflect our belief that sustainability in sheet metal fabrication is about more than numbers; it’s about long-term responsibility.
Looking ahead for the rest of 2026
As we move forward, our focus remains clear:
✔ Continued investment in efficient machinery
✔ Further reduction of energy usage
✔ Supporting skilled engineering careers
✔ Expanding our in-house capabilities
✔ Delivering stress-free fabrication solutions
Sustainability in sheet metal isn’t a single project but a journey; and at MPL Fabrications, it’s one we’re proud to be on.
